K-Pop Throwback: Kick Back And Enjoy Your Summer With Humming Urban Stereo’s 2011 Track ‘You That Day’ Featuring Yoo In Na [VIDEO]

Not every song by Humming Urban Stereo is a winner.
Some of the material from this more-than-a-decade-old South Korean electropop trio wades into territory that is at best pretty cheesy by all rational standards and at worst Musak.

But when this group finds their sweet spot sonically, boy do they ever. Listening to them produce some of the most innovative pop to come out of Korea in the past 10 years on songs, like “Give Me Your Love Tonight” or “Rollercoaster,” one can’t help but wonder why this group spends so much time in zones far more less invigorating than their dance material.
Yet, all criticism aside, there is no one better at dialing in a mellow summer jam than Humming Urban Stereo.
Whether you’re lounging by the pool or stuck at your desk, few things will clear your mind and soothe your soul quicker than Humming Urban Stereo’s 2011 Track ‘You That Day’ featuring the DJ and actress Yoo In Na on lead vocals.
The best thing you can say about this band, or any musician for that matter, is that they know how to lie back into the groove. These aren’t pop idols with something to prove, but rather seasoned musicians who clearly love what they do.
It’s not hard to hear the difference.
It is easy in the stifling late summer months, to give up on summer, to say no to that invitation for drinks or that rooftop party that involves several sweltering subway transfers.
But before you bail on your plans for the night, crack open your cold summer beverage of choice, turn the air conditioner up to high and crank “You That Day” through your speakers or headphones.
Then decide whether or not you’re ready to rock.
